I'm Scott Smith, a conservative Republican who has had the honor of raising my four children as a single father in House District 63. I live, work, and own businesses here in the district. I am very proud of my children, James serving in the Navy as a Nuke, my middle son David serving in the Air Force, and my youngest son Jon an Army Airborne Combat Medic, and my beautiful daughter Rachel who is finishing her Senior year at Guyer High School.
I am a native Texan that grew up in Carrollton. My work ethic has been shaped by the gift of being raised by a single mother. I understood my need to roll up my sleeves and jump in to do my part, and that's exactly what I did. I entered the workforce as a young teen in a bakery before school.
After graduation I enlisted in the US National Guard and am a veteran with a deep love for my country. After several years in the retail grocery business, I stepped out in faith to recognize my dreams of business ownership. Today, I own businesses in the real estate and firearms industry, two of them are finalists in the Best of Denton County.
In looking at the possibility of the future for Texas, I find myself rolling up my sleeves ready to do my part for you and for our families. Texas has always been the land of opportunity and it should be for generations to come. Our second amendment rights must be protected, and every Legal vote should be counted. You count and so should your vote.
Just as I have run my businesses, I am committed to an open-door policy that your concerns are my concerns. What affects you affects me, and this seat is your seat, and I will never forget that it belongs to my constituents.
It would be an honor and a privilege to be your voice in Austin. Join me in advocating for the future of Texas that continues to nurture opportunity, respects the second amendment, and ensures our children’s children will also enjoy the safety, integrity, and wellbeing of our great State. This is not a campaign for my agenda, this is an invitation to represent your agenda.
May God Bless you and our great state of Texas!
